Vitamin A Swim

have developed themselves in collaboration with textile mills in Italy, California and Canada.

There are several stores that carry their products such as Everything But Water, and South Moon Under. Although they don't carry their full line. 

I recently just bought my first piece from them, the Neutra Bralette Top in Deep Blue Ecolux fabric. The fabric is incredibly luxurious and soft. And the top surprisingly fit me very well. I bought it in a large (that's what I tried on in the store) and although it might be a bit snug it passed the "shimmie" test (aggressively shake your boobs to see if any nip slips occur) as well as cliff jumping (which had some minor slippage). I wear a 34E so shopping for swim tops can really be a gamble sometimes. But the Large in this particular style really works for me. Just depends on the suit for me. I do hope that Vitamin A will consider making their range a little larger, maybe custom orders because I realize that women with cup sizes E and up are a lot more common than we in the Fashion Industry acknowledge.

Cecile Swim

- Based in Perth, Australia.

- Ethically Sourced and handmade in Indonesia.

- Their pieces come with a reusable bag in order to reduce single use plastics

- Pieces are designed to be worn as swim suit or bandeau/bodysuit. Multiple uses to ensure you make the most out of your purchase.

Reformation

- If you're interested in Ethical Fashion then it's quite possible that you've already heard of Reformation. 

- They are a leader in proving that Ethical Clothing can be just as cute, and definitely more beautiful than your average "trendy" shop.

- Created a "Ref Standards" a classification of the sustainability of different fibers and which they focus on using. They also share lots of information about the fibers and textiles they do use. No question is left unanswered about their fabrics.

- Literally there is so much detail on their site, I just highly suggest you head over there and check it out. This is the type of energy all brands need to have in order to show we're committed to saving this planet and respecting the people on it.

- You can view the Code of Conduct that they require their factories to adhere to in regards to their employees. 

- They have also built their own factory in L.A. You can meet the staff through video tours or through a factory visit!

- Carbon Neutral since 2015!!

Elle Evans Swimwear

- Based in Melbourne, Australia
- Each swim suit is made to order to ensure the that each piece creates as little waste as possible
- They use Econyl fabric (Regenerated nylon yarn made from ocean and landfill waste)
- Have a recycling program for when your swim suit has been worn out after it's long life!
- Encouraging a closed loop fashion system where the manufacturer doesn't lose responsibility for the product once it's out of their hands.
- Use carbon neutral couriers!
- Hired seamstresses paid above the Australian min wage
- They carry Women's, Teens, and Kids sizes

- Obtained Fair Wear Foundation Young Designer License in 2013
- Use Lyocell, Recycled Polyester and Nylon, Banana Fiber, Milk Fiber, Recycled Elastane, Organic cotton, Recycled Wool and Virgin Wool. Get more information on each of these at their website
